I'm also rather on the mild side, but I still wish people wouldn't use it as an insult. It's like people use "homo" or "gay" as an insult, and frankly it needs to stop. But because people will forever be idiots (fun fact: Idiot was once a valid, politically correct psychological diagnosis, then it got used as an insult) that's too much to hope for.

You're an ass. You basically took my tangent and ran off with it. I'm aware that the use of such words as insults is inevitable, but that doesn't make it any more right. At least you could use insults that are ALREADY insults instead of making new ones.
I.e. moron, dumb, stupid. Fat is a shallow physical descriptor, as is ugly, and both are somewhat meaningless these days because they're all subjective (fat less so). I do wish people would stop using most of the other insults that don't have to be insults, but given that there's nothing I can do about it.
Not to mention that people like you don't help anything.
