Remember when Sony wanted to interrupt gameplay with comericials?
They did?

Remember when Sony wanted to interrupt gameplay with comericials?
Remember when the gaming developers cared more about their customers more than how much money they can swipe?

Sony is most likely patenting this technology just to have it, rather than put it to effective use.

Just in case.

Sony is a money vacuum, and this proves it. They look for more and more ways to suck up your money. They don't care about their millions upon millions of customers.

It wasn't a bad idea for Sony to do this. It would make them money. It was a largely unpopular idea, and Sony is horrible at hiding their subliminal intentions.

Small time developers are going bankrupt. The developers that make Call of Duty are always going to be in the green no matter what.
Counter-example: Kerbal Space Program.
For srs.

I agree with Gojira.
and Sony is WAY out of line doing this.
once the game has been purchased, it is the CUSTOMER'S property and is HIS/HERS to do what THEY wish with.

The rest of the people in this thread wont listen to reason. They're hellbent on proving that Sony is out to get us, and that it's the end of the world because they patented something bad.

Alright. Banning used games is loving stupid because the game was already paid for beforehand and the company got its loving cut of the money. After someone's pays for the game it's THERE's and they can do whatever the forget they want with it (except for duplicating it). If they sell the game they can't play it anymore.

Might as well stop buying from sony and just let the whores up and die.

Except with software (including video games) when you buy it, you're actually buying a license to use the software, not the actual disc and software itself. So that basically makes what you just said invalid.

If it'll mean the end of Gamestop I'm all for it.
