my internet is running like a slow bastard

Now this is loving pissing me off. my internet has recently been running loving slow, none is downloading anything. our internet is running real slow. there are 4 bars and that does not do jack stuff, TF2 has recently been glitching online because of this and i dont know what to do. If i reset my router that does not do anything either. i have also been downloading small addons from garrysmod.org and it takes like 10 loving minutes just to download something. does anyone know how to fix this?

Try restarting your router/modem or leave it unplugged for awhile.
If that doesn't work contact your service provider.

Try 'not being able to start TF2 at all' on for size.

Sounds like heaven. Takes ~2 minutes per megabyte alone, should the internet not crash and burn before then.

Step-by-step list of what to do:

1. Check the speeds you are currently supposed to be getting from your ISP, what are you paying for
2. Run a speed test to see if you are achieving these speeds, if not go to step three, if so go to step 6
3. Disconnect all other devices connected and re-try the speedtest, if still below your amount continue
4. Contact ISP and ask if they are having issues and/or if they can help, if not continue to step 5
5. Change your ISP
6. Get a better package
