Author Topic: iPhone 4S acting up  (Read 1347 times)

Not sure what's going on, but when I connect to my wifi I literally get no Internet even though I have 3 bar things. Usually I have 2 bars and can load anything instantly, but lately with wifi NOTHING will load. If its any help, the past few days I keep forgetting to plug it in until it's at like 5%, so my phone has been low battery for 3~5 days.

For the record I'm using 3G atm, I tried connecting with wifi and it gave me some page error (for all websites.) No, I have not updated to the iPhone 5 software, I've heard it slows down iPhone 4s and is essentially no bonus to the iPhone 4 as is. I also don't drop my phone, so internal damage is out of the question (in that sense at least)

If worst comes to worst then I can get it exchanged at the nearby sprint store thanks to my warranty (I hope)

*E-hem* Get a new phone, or contact apple about it, I don't think we would know. :o

found your problem, you have an Iphone.

maybe try plugging it in, I'm not one to know much about Apple products, but unless you were to be dropping it (and I know you aren't) I'm not sure why something like this would happen in the first place.
Very doubtful, but could it be something with your WiFi?

Hold the lock button+home button till it turns off and restart it. Then charge it, see if doing that helps any

For the moment, it appears powering off, charging while off for 5 mins and powering back on has solved it.
It's actually loading 3x normal wifi speed, which is kinda nice.

An apple a day keeps the doctor away.

Edit:
I stuff you not, after I posted and tried going to another site, wifi froze again. Wtf. I'm gonna let it fully charge then see if wifi works...

iPhone 5s would be a waste of money. All it is, is a 1" bigger screen, better camera and it runs a LITTLE faster. I'm not interested in shelling out $300 for a new iPhone.
Besides, right now it appears the iPhone isn't the problem, my wifi is.

Hey guys if I act like a cigarette people will like me!

This may be a dumb idea, but try restarting your modem and router and then test using another wifi enabled device first.

iOS 6/6.1 isn't just for the iPhone 5, it's for all apple products that can support it. I would suggest updating, it might actually fix your problem, considering that is the point of updates.

Fixed it, just thought I should post this in case anyone else has the same problem.
Apparently the 3G got inn the way, so I disabled wifi, then went general>network and turned off cellular data, then turned wifi back on.

Works like a charm. But the manual change thing is kinda lame... :/

a little bit ot but has anyone noticed that adinx has been posting a lot of topics lately?
