*Votes for Obama*

*Blames everything else in the end*

Im taking about subsidies. The advantage is that the government pays companies to keep a constant price in a product. This money that they use comes from taxes. However people feel as if they have a say in the price which would go as a "im not buying, no one is buying, make it cheaper basis." It can be a good and a bad thing depending on your viewpoint.

so tax people more and then use the money to subsidize products

OF COURSE

it isn't like taxes take money that said taxpayers could have directly used for the product or anything

It will all be ok once i get me my obamaphone

Seriously we need a libertarian president soon or stuff will hit the fan so hard.

or a conservative

Why would anyone ever vote for a conservative. Libertarians are pretty much the same, minus the dumbass anti-abortion anti-gay marriage stuff. Libertarians > conservatives.

EDIT: Not to mention the fact that conservatives are borderline theocratic.

maybe because conservatives are pretty much always republicans and the republican party can get far enough to win?

personally i dont think obama is 100% to blame for this. yes he hasnt done all that much in 4 years, but one of the reasons is that the god damned gridlocked as forget congress wont let him do anything. if the dems propose a bill the republicans deny it, and vice versa. nothing gets done.

This too is a problem.  I wish I had the gif of the graph where over the past decades the war on drugs spending has exploded and yet the (albeit likely rough) percentage of illegal drug users has not changed at all.

True, but there's no reason for them to continue being elected when the libertarian party is eons better.

I've warmed up to Libertarians a bit recently.

Same here. I myself am not a libertarian but I've found a lot of respect for them lately.

continue being elected? the last conservative president was reagan and he still did a few weird things

bush 41 was moderate, won on reagan's coattails and lost reelection

dole was a moderate, crashed and burned

bush 43 lost popular vote and won a narrow reelection

mccain was a moderate, crashed and burned

romney was a moderate, lost by a few points

so no we haven't had any conservative candidates for president outside the primaries in a long time

so rand paul/ted cruz 2012

Without subsides, gas would cost over 8 bucks a gallon.

not believable + no source

Where does this come from? I have a feeling the most profitable industry in the US doesn't need help.
