WordPad sometimes hangs my computer.

I've noticed that sometimes when I interact with WordPad, my computer completely hangs to the point that I can move my mouse, but I can't click anything, nor use Ctrl+Alt+Delete, nor use Ctrl+Shift+Escape.

Is this a Windows 7 bug or should I run a Malwarebytes scan?
