Author Topic: How should I move this build onto ModTerrain bricks?  (Read 2341 times)

I'm trying to move the build from the right onto the elevated terrain (left). The problem is that I haven't found a successful way of doing it.

The build has:
  • 22,654 bricks (this includes the terrain).
  • Several complex mechanisms that took hours to event.
  • Ground made from multiple baseplates.

How should I do this?

Note: I feel this thread doesn't belong on Help because it isn't a technical problem, it's a building problem. It doesn't belong on Gallery either, because you post finished or WIP builds, not building problems.

Zone

Bricks

OR

Use the GSF bricks as zones. Place huge ones, and place them. Then connect them, and duplicate.

(GSF is a type of Zone.)

Duplicator?

Duplicator?
If you use that it won't work, but if you use the Duplorcator it might work.

  • Ground made from multiple baseplates.
>connect baseplates
>duplicate
>???
>profit

Remove bricks that cross the baseplates. Need help?

Can you edit the bls to start the build in the air?
I'm just guessing on this one.

What if I used the Zone bricks, and then duplicated the entire thing? (probably would crash BL, but worth a shot) <--- Crashed, never mind.

Destroy everything but the section you're going to move at the moment. Reload and repeat for each other section.

This could effect his events. If you delete all but one section of the build, and dup that, the events wouldn't be able to find say, name bricks from the sections you broke off, thus setting itself to Self or something.
Something like that could happen.

Ah forget, why haven't duplicator zones been made yet?

Simple solution is to temporarily make 1x1s with the same names.
