You have heard wrong! Adobe is absolutely not providing free copies of CS2!

What is true is that Adobe is terminating the activation servers for CS2 and that for existing licensed users of CS2 who need to reinstall their software, copies of CS2 that don’t require activation but do require valid serial numbers are available. (Special serial numbers are provided on the page for each product download.) See <http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1114930>.

Serial number's right there for ya to use. Completely legal. Don't listen to anyone who says otherwise.

Wait what?

Adobe said CS2 wasn't meant to be released for free, you are talking about that right? Imo now its released they should have just pretended it was for everyone for the good PR lol.

like any of you even have a use for any useless little content thats been added since cs2.
its just photoshop lol. nothing wrong with older versions because they do the same thing.

After effects and premiere, but only CS4 I believe and up are actually good
CS5 is great and what I use. I tried CS6 but it was incredibly slow and crashed a lot.

i'm probably not getting something here, but where?

Well, I do use the content-fill tool in CS6 a lot, but I agree that for most people CS2 is enough. Which is why Adobe isn't releasing it for free. They're worried it'd hurt sales of CS6.

I wonder who forgeted up at Adobe, but yea CS2 is enough, maybe not to best unless your some kind of super graphics artist or something but they could make it free.

Anyone else bet someone is getting fired?

That's stupid, considering the people who would be downloading CS2 are downloading CS2 for free since they can't afford the high as forget prices for CS6.

They kind of are releasing it to free, just hiding it. You see, they made CS2 not even bother with the whole serial process and just say "oh hey thats a key lemme open CS2 for ya" and basically what it means is that any serial code will work, and since there is no activation since there is no servers it is now akin to giving your Blockland key away, except without all the downsides. IE someone on the internet could legally tell us a serial code, which everyone could legally use and it would be essentially free.
