Author Topic: Blockland crashes even if I simply set the shaders to "Low"  (Read 1709 times)

First of all, i'm very sorry if this counts as cross-posting, but Help seems pretty abandoned at this time, so i'll just quote my post:
Okay, I was really excited for the Blockland shaders n' all, and I got a lot more excited when Badspot said it would run with just a cheap ATI card, and when Blockland finished updating, I went and set the shadows to maximum, and BL crashed, okay, I may have set it too high is what I first thought, so I set it to Medium, still crashed BL, then I set it to low, crashed, and then I set it to minimum and it didn't crash, my video card/whatever is ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics.
Okay, I was about to re-install BL but I noticed that there were two folders in My Documents and Computer, one had uninstall but the other didn't, are they both the same or different? Sorry, but i'm a dumbass to most of this, and I don't know if console logs would be helpful or not

Please post your Console.log

For the second unrelated quote:

The Program file is a left over for the uninstaller. They are not the same. Since the computer needs to uninstall "Blockland" it really doesn't look in the Documents, but in the Program files.

This is why Minecraft is not on the Programs list.

So.. Is there no way to uninstall it?

Code: [Select]
CreateProcess Failed, trying ShellExecuteThis is the only line that I can find that looks really abnormal, I'm not sure but It might have to do with this.

Just delete the "Blockland" folder in your documents and you're done. All of Blockland's main files are contained in that folder; it doesn't write anything other than a shortcut/launcher outside of that folder

if you want a partial uninstall just go inside the folder and delete what you dont want

OK, so i'm pretty sure that's where I messed up, i'm going to retry the re-install, and also I don't know if it effects or not, but during the Blockland install it froze at 1082 of 1085 files, but the cursor and everything still were going around smoothly, so I closed it and then re-opened it, I don't know if that effected it or not

No.

You do not delete the Blockland file.

Go to Programs Uninstall, and then uninstall blockland using the Installer.

oh forget
should've said that sooner
uh.. System restore..?
forget forget forget
I deleted both the C:/Blockland file and the Document's blockland file.. stuff stuff.. I'm re-installing blockland..

No.

I guess it is fine...

I don't know. That is how I always did it though, so yeah. It is like the same thing as taking out your battery of your laptop(or holding down the power button,) unlike shutting down.

So.. It's okay? it doesn't do any crazy stuff like revoke my key? Sorry, it's just i've been having massive paranoia during nights for some reason lately.. Everytime I do something I feel as if it's going to do some type of crazy-freak accident

You can delete your key file, uninstall Blockland, whatever. It will not revoke your key.

Key authentication happens elsewhere, outside of your computer. In other words, you'll never lose your key unless it is revoked by Hartman or you lose purchase proof / email.

Thank you, you calmed me down a bit, but, i've now came to the conclusion that there's just some strange thing going on that involves computers and video cards, thanks for most of the help guys who posted here.
I'm leaving the topic unlocked for now, but goodnight guys.

You go crazy over things that are little.

It can be a both good and bad trait ;I.

To answer your first question, it must be you computer in basis. Some people with Graphics cards that can run Skyrim or Battlefield fine plummet to the question:
Why cannot I run BL Shaders? Well, it must be your processor, or your OpenGL version.

I do not have my gaming computer, because I am on my Tablet, but yeah .-., I cannot really check these out.

You should try updating your drivers at http://support.amd.com
