Author Topic: forget google  (Read 3307 times)

We get the same kind of resistance to change at the company I work at and we just laugh at all the users bitching and moaning about how awful it is. I guarantee you the developers at Google do the same thing. Everyone knows you'll get over it in a week or two and stop being a crybaby about it until the next change.
But it's not like they update it just to annoy us, right?
So I'm just curious as to what the intended purpose of these updates is?

I watch YouTube on my iPod. Simple.

Can avoid all this layout stuff easily that way.

The new layout is fifty jillion times more convenient than the old one. It's a ton sleeker too.

I love the new layout it is very clean and the colors match nicely.
Their up to date with Windows 8's Metro look.

The only thing I would like fixed is that in my subscriptions it displays the videos instead of the junk their doing.

this so bad

you're bad

You also can't log in with your YouTube username anymore, you have to use your email.

It should have been like this from the start.

anyone who registers for a Google account(required for youtube) MUST have a cellphone number.

This is not true.

i'm ok with the new layout but since the avatars show, people can have innapropriate avatars

If you can't dismiss an incredibly small icon on a website then that's your problem.

To make it better for everyone.

I use youtube for the videos, not the layout.
Who cares what it looks like unless the only reason you go on it is to admire the shapes and colours surrounding the videos.

I like the new layouts :o

The only thing I hate was that they removed the instant video button scrolly thing
now i have to waste 1 second opening the video page up in a different tab

No it shouldn't.   [rant] there are a lot of people like me that only have a loving email because dumbstuff sites ask you to login with it and i can never loving remember mine, PLUS a lot of tomes some stuff happens and i need to make a new account on something and i make a new email because it wont take my old one so now i have a loving plethora of emails that i can never goddamn remember and i have to make even more new loving emails and put in loving captchcas and then i can never remember the the loving passwords to all my emails because i cant use the same loving passwords for all my emails because if i DO eventually one of them gets hacked, then another, and another, and then i have a loving collection of loving passwords on paper everywhere and more loving captchas and its all loving bullstuff  [/rant]  so moral of the rant,

JUST USE loving USERNAMES AND NOTHING ELSE

It's always improvement. Companies like Google do a lot of research and QA on their layouts I can assure you - if it reaches the public then they're pretty sure it's good.

.. why do you need multiple email accounts?

If a service doesn't accept your email account then you're using a terrible email provider.
If you need to make multiple accounts on the same service then you're doing it wrong.

By "some stuff happens" he probably means he forgets his password, then he can't retrieve it because he doesn't remember what email he signed up with. Then he has to create yet another email to add to his army of them to register a new account, intensifying the problem.

Essentially, his own stupidity perpetuates his own problem, then he blames it on the company for not being overly sympathetic to people who can't remember their own log in details.

I've had the same email for almost five years. It isn't very hard to remember that sort if stuff.
