Author Topic: What the forget, shaders?  (Read 2393 times)

So at first, when shaders first came out, I could only run minimum, but it was ok.
However, just today, while racing on badspot's server, I noticed minimum no longer does jack stuff.

I showed this to badspot and he said my card was never able to support any kinds of shaders. However, I do know that minimum DID work, and it longer does.
Where/what/how/wtf do I do?

I suspect the drivers to have something to do with this.
[bump]

i would think this belongs in help?

Help has become an abandoned board lately... :/

I don't think this thread is help related.

It seems like it is, though.

moved anyway
STILL GUISE WAT DO

Well to start your card is really old, OpenGL 2.1 cards came out around 2006 or 2007, Badspot is right that your card shouldn't or can't even support shaders and I think you agree with that. Minimum settings should work on your card and if you said they worked before you either did something with drivers which I doubt or Badspot changed something in the code that activates shaders and your card doesn't have them.

my card could run minimum
my card can no longer run minimum
badspot says my card shouldn't be able to ever run minimum

recently updated my drivers but it seems to have done nnnothing

I am guessing the older drivers somehow made it work or Badspot changed something. Try reverting back to the older drivers you had. If it doesn't work then Badspot edited something

uh
I might've actually updated my drivers twice so far

We've already told you your card is too old, that's why it's not working.

for the last loving time
it used to work

So what? It has higher requirements now, perhaps.
