Brick Ownership is Broken

When I save a build with ownership, the ownership does save.
BUT, if I save another persons bricks who built on my bricks their ownership does NOT.

Why?
Does this happen to everybody?

That's just the way it works, since they built on your baseplate.

That's really dumb. Why have I never noticed this before?

This is the soul cause of several mass event loss.
I really wish named bricks could be used by anyone with full trust.

I build with a team. I handle all the building side brick placing, my other member does all the heavy eventing.
Sometimes the eventing schedules involve 40-50 lines of calling variables and named bricks. Just because their named bricks are on mine should not instantly make them mine.

We have been building like this for years and its only now become a problem. This is an asinine problem and should not happen.
