Author Topic: Cache.db error  (Read 2545 times)

One day, i just opened blockland up like usual and it came up with this error:

"Failed to open 'C:\Users\pc user\My Documents\Blockland//cache.db'
with error message 'unable to open database file'"

Cache.db is there, im forced to bypass the launcher untill this is fixed
I have deleted it, no-launcher copy remade it, but the launcher still can't find it.

The launcher.log is actually from before this happened, sorry. I guess it can't write to the launcher.log because it cant find cache.db

is your folder read-only

Delete your chache. unlock ur BL folder. Delete RTB4 if you have it, it is known to cause thease for OSX 10.8 and under and windows vista and under(I think, not a windows user, though.)

No, this has no bearing on the problem.

OP, right click on your Blockland folder, go to Properties, and make sure that the "Ready Only" box at the bottom is unchecked. If this does not work, try running Blockland as Administrator.

Was checked, unchecked and not working.
Even ran as adminstrater, still not working.

Also, i did say the error message looked like this:
"Failed to open 'C:\Users\pc user\My Documents\Blockland//cache.db'
with error message 'unable to open database file'"
but the title of the window is "SQlite error" though it dosent say what type.

Try adding this to your Blockland shortcut:
Code: [Select]
-profilePath "C:\Blockland"
This will cause BL to start in the old C:\Blockland directory, just to see if that fixes it. If it does, it's probably a permissions problem.
