Hahaha I wish, even cleaning the registry of broken links doesn't work

I'm glad everyone in the world knows about this now. Totally wouldn't have been better if Java had fixed this before telling everyone their stuff is broken.

Hi guys, just posting in to say that the Java loophole is indeed a real threat.

Someone was observing a friends facebook and saw them post their phone number, then accessed their webcam, recorded them having a conversation with their brother, and then left a voicemail on my friends phone as the exact conversation they had as a recording.

Scary stuff, I suggest you all disable your Java.

I'm pretty sure they got the police involved.

oh
well
uh
yeah, okay then.

So has this been fixed yet at all, or should I still keep it disabled?

I don't have add-ons in "manage add-ons"

get noscript and only whitelist the websites you trust
???
no viruses

IE

The entire thought of using security precautions on IE is redundant. Disabling Java on IE is like making one stick on a wood pile fire-resistant. Download Firefox or Waterfox and No-Script, and be done with it.
