How to flatshade in Milkshape

Step 1.
Download the Torque DTS Plus Exporter for Milkshape.
http://www.garagegames2.com/web/exporters/ms2dtloveporterPlus.zip

Step 2.
Make your model. Keep it fairly blocky and simple to fit the style of the game.

Step 3.
Open the "Groups" tab, then select the entire model (Edit/Select All) or simply the parts you wish to be flat shaded. Click "Assign", and then click "1" in the Smoothing Groups section. Click the Vertex menu option and click "Unweld". The model should now be flat shaded. Click the Vertex menu option again and Reweld.

Step 4.
Here's the part I've had trouble with: whenever I use the default Torque exporter that comes with Milkshape, it doesn't export Flatshaded. This is where the Torque DTS Plus Exporter comes in - you did install it, right? Each group will need a unique name, and a LOD. A LOD of 9999 only shows up in first person. You should be able to export a flatshaded model.

EDIT: fixed sum stufz

Lol. Thanks for the help, I have a feeling this'll work faster (and better) than Traders.

Again, I was looking for a simpler explanation, and thank you :D

Lol, what do you mean better? Mine works perfectly every time, you twat.   :cookieMonster:

Ok, I guess they accomplish the same thing.

I just like his, it's easy :D

$Traders_Ego.applyDamage(50);

Actually, I really don't care.  As long as it works for me (which it does, every time), I'm cool with it.  I just figured I'd post the way I do it because there weren't any solid solutions available.  Besides, this tutorial suggests that you "unweld" your vertices.  Stupid idea.

trader ive tried yours didnt work what milkshape are you using?
