when's next raffle?

if you plan to put in an svd please make sure the inside of the scope actually looks like a pso-1 and if its possible make the rangefinder scale work The svd is my favorite gun and it annoys me when it has a regular rifle scope on it

imo that doesn't fit blockland

Holy stuff, I actually won something! Woohoo!

imo that doesn't fit blockland
This, even if it did aligning the chevrons and the actual rangefinder to blockland scale would take tons of time. What distance are you measuring, how can you ensure that it will actually line up when you put the model in game, seeing as the sights are slapped onto the model. Way too much effort for something that isn't really that important. I'm sure there are other scopes you can mount to an SVD, anyways.

Actually setting up scopes with mildots isn't all that hard. aligning it is just about the only hard part but even then its not that hard.

isn't really that important.
so the accuracy of a weapon at long range isn't important?

the rangefinder was a suggestion. It could just be there. I just like how the scope looks

i figured sniper accuracy is important because of the size of the map and the nature of the current dayz games
I understand he cant take too much time to make the scopes perfect but i hate guess work with rifles in blockland and other games when it comes to range and bullet drop

also on a related note, is zeroing a confirmed feature and is it possible with blockland

I don't think there is an easy way to implement zeroing that will have a desired effect. I'll investigate it though; it might require additional datablocks or tedious coding of cameras but that doesn't mean I won't try.

Well to answer your questions:

Rangefinders: Rangefinders are possible and we will be going for them, they won't really be that difficult to add to the mod.

Scopes: We're going to try and keep all the scopes accurate and we'll try to add zeroing, it will take time and lots of trial and error but that's pretty critical to sniping since you need to conserve ammo rather than guess and shoot.

For people complaining that it doesn't fit in Blockland:

I don't really see how it doesn't fit, all you're doing is slapping a little detail to a sniper rifle and making it actually work.

Shappeh, go on Skype I have an idea.

something I said might actually effect the mod, that doesnt happen much

the raffle was loving rigged all from the beginning!
