Author Topic: What should I do for money?  (Read 1555 times)

I've got 48$ right now and want to save up for a new gaming keyboard and mouse.
What should I do.
ex: chores, other stuff, ect.

Please dont suggest any garbage like "selling drugs" or something like that.
I really want to get a new keyboard and mouse.

First of all, why did you ninja the "get out" out of your post? I was just going to agree with you, too. ):

Secondly, several people I know who are 13 / 14 have paying jobs at a local resturant, though they don't get much due to only working on weekends and such.

Search through garbage cans for coins...

Mow lawns, sell lemonade, offer to give your neighbors dog a bath/walk for them

Run an excellent server and get $100+ in donations every month.

Oh man, I remember when $48 was a small fortune amassed with great care in the dresser drawer of my 13 year old self. I have $61 in tips from doing deliveries from the past two nights I worked on my nightstand right now, I ain't even excited. What I'm trying to say is, wait five years and be willing to work.

Seriously though, your options are realistically fairly limited. You can't go to a store or a business and get a job, even if you have a good work ethic you have to have a fairly enterprising spirit to make money at your age. Try and make connections with family members, friends at school, etc. Just really put it out there that you want to and are willing to work and take any stuff jobs that are offered to you. I started working at a farm as hired help during the summers when I was 14. Made $6.50 an hour and typically worked between 30 and 40 hours a week in the hot sun. Brought home $180 a week and felt like a rich motherforgeter.

So, put it out there that you want to work, a lot, take any stuff job given to you, and do it well and learn from it.

cant you shovel snow or something. i dunno what your winter is like.

cant get it all from parents, need some other sources.

sell your ass on the street this helps trust me

Sirrus gave some good advice. Try doing chores/oddjobs for your parents/neighbors. Ask your parents if their friends have anything for you to do.
