Its 2000. I think its abandonware now. If it wasn't, it would have drm  .

I used to play Simcity 2000 long loonngg ago on the gameboy DS or whatever, and after trying to get research about Simcity 2000/3000 and checking if it's compatible with Windows 7, all I get is a load of "SIMCITY 2000/3000 FREE DOWNLOAD"

Anyone else feel like they're really not satisfied with the new SimCity anymore?  It's been roughly a week and a half now and honestly, I could say that this game isn't worth the money considering EA/Maxis is stuffting down our throats with bullstuff.  It seriously aggravates me that they blamed the server crashes on the customers as opposed to owning up to the fact that they were not ready to handle the load, and in addition, the game really doesn't require any online connection at all and it really is an anti-DRM method.

I'm considering a refund at this point, I don't care if I get a free game or not.
