Author Topic: New Blocklander :)  (Read 3900 times)

some quick tips:
don't post on the forums for about a week or till you get used to the community
don't join any servers that have "rp" or "renderman" in them unless they have atleast 20 people there
join servers with alot of people, I recommend Kong123's deathrace, BBB (Betrayal in Block Boulevard) and Spades Arcade.

Use punctuation and grammar, or at least do effort in doing so.
Don't post things that you feel will annoy people, if you think it's wrong, it is.
Don't stuffpost people or reply with negativity, unless with a good reason.
Don't ask for admin, use admin apps, try to bring people to your server with 'FREE ADMIN'
Recon you change your name, as stated. "Blockhead" is the default name, and usually is frowned upon since it idealizes a newbie player who hasn't found the way to change their name.
Have a good time, stay out of bad threads, don't get on everyones nerves and you'll be set.

Terrible advice, really. Sure there's some bad rep with some servers like that but there are people that genuinely enjoy those servers. A key to enjoying blockland the most is finding what kind of servers you enjoy, and trying new things. Some things you'll like some things you wont. Try things. Just because someone doesn't like a server doesn't mean you may not.

i've broken every single one of these in the past day alone, this is abhorrent advice

the chances of a rp server being good is...?

renderman servers are fun but only for a few minutes.

both of these types of servers need to die, and rp servers need to be redone.

Eh, I personally agree with all of those.
It definitely wouldn't hurt to follow those rules, better safe than sorry

Your blockland id is awesome, in my opinion at least. There's a really good server on that gets hosted around 5PM EST or maybe even earlier. It's a racing server by Kog123

One great  tip.
Don't end up as a user who wastes $20 everytime you get a forum ban, If you are ban, you may get a second or third chance (I've gotten a third chance), But if the forums don't like you coming back, just play the game and visit the forums for add-ons/decals only.

I've gotten banned at least 10 times from this forum and not many people hate me. Badspot is just a wanker.

Great advice coming from you..

Great advice coming from you..
I know, it's ironic of me to say that.

Do not "troll" or blatantly attack other users.
Build frequently and create content, dont become a forums lurker. No one likes them.
Builds you deem 'your best' or at least 'not bad' can be displayed in the Gallery. Don't forget to take pictures.
Stay away from the Drama section.

Posting options:

To use these options, simply highlight the text of your posts and hit the button that you want. Buttons that I did not label are ones you will probably never use.
So Bold text would look like
Code: [Select]
[b]Bold text[/b](I used the "Bold" button and the "Code" button)

To post images, you need an image hosting site. Any will do, but I use Tinypic. Once you get the URL, copy/paste it into a post and put the Image tags around it:
Code: [Select]
[IMG][/IMG] and the image should be displayed. This can be done by highlighting the copied URL and hitting the "Image Tag" button. Use the Preview button at the bottom of your post window next to the Post button to see if it worked.

PS: If you'd like to see how I made this post, just hit the "Quote" button on the top right corner of this post.
You can edit your own posts, and you can edit quotes from other people. Try not to edit quotes though.
