Author Topic: A hosters worst nightmare:PORTFOWARDING!Help me!  (Read 2947 times)

I just got a new router, and I cant seem to host and have people join.
Here is some information

Creator is NETGEAR
IP Address is(from IP chicken findings):68.35.254.141

I've tried BL's outdated tutorial, and it doesn't work.

www.loginrouter.com is what is used to log into the router.

If he's the owner, why isn't he being useful and helping me?

this isn't off-topic.

Have you properly added a port forward rule in your router for your computer? Disable your firewall.
Don't think your port forward rule is correct? Post an image of it.
Can't log in to your router through the default gateway? Reset it.

saying it doesn't work is useless to us, we know it doesn't work or why would you be here?
he's saying that you need to give more information on what isn't working for him and the rest of us to help you

Please post your console log.

Couldn't snap a pic.

I highly doubt the last octet of your IP address would be 0. Open a command prompt and run ipconfig through it. Post an image of what comes up, or just the text.

My routers IP ends with a 0.

The rest of my PC IP's have 1-9 at the end.

You're not supposed to forward it to the router, you're supposed to forward it to the computer you're hosting the server on.
