Author Topic: Server Refuses To Appear On The Serverlist (RTB Hosting)  (Read 1865 times)

The Spade's Arcade server isn't appearing on the server list. I've checked through all the console and chat logs and everything seems to have gone fine. Sending a message to the server causes it to be interpreted as it should and console input is executed as well.

The server seems to be refusing to post itself to the master list. Can I force it to do this somehow? I remember in arcade #5 we were running kaphost and had a similar problem and there was a command that did this.

There was a console command to fix this, I remember

Try WebCom_PostServer();

thanks

It gets stuck at sending the response to the auth request:

Code: [Select]
Authentication: Sending Initial Request...
Authentication: Connected...
Authentication: Sending Response...

Figured it out.

The server can't authenticate until Spade is logged into BL and that can only happen when he gets home from school (2 hours)

I'm now trying to get the server's IP through the console. Can anyone help with this?

No, that makes no sense.
A dedicated server can authenticate without the owner being logged in.

Server IP is 68.168.212.106

The best way is probably to save all bricks (since the remote console is working), then restart the server.

trying to connect through IP just sends punch packet forever and how to save in a dedicated server.

i tried enabling the auto-saver again but it didn't save at any point.

savebricks(); doesn't work since its client only (?)

so uhh

Is it an RTB server?

i don't see why it wouldn't be an rtb server but it doesn't matter since it didn't work anyway.

also we decided to just restart the server...

not sure how much lost ...

We fixed it by restarting ):

Yea you could have just done
RTB_Hosting.doAutoSave();
If you weren't so impatient

hmh

well what is done is done and the question now is that

how do we prevent this from happening in the future?
