Author Topic: Ban democrats from owning guns  (Read 10857 times)

Rykuta, do you have any evidence to support that claim? I'm not saying it's false, it just seems like a pretty good reason, and I've never heard it before.
I heard it over the radio whilest carpooling. As such, I am unable to site it, nor am I aware what the channel was. I'm sure google will provide the answer.

I have no idea what to search for, though. Farmers vs. cartels may give interesting results, but I doubt they'd be useful. :P

Person shoots school, government outlaws guns: Now we can't defend ourselves.
Person drives over kids, government outlaws cars: Now we can't get to work.
Person stabs children, government outlaws kitchen knives: Now we can't cut our food.

Maybe something like this?
This article seems to be talking about a website designed to bring awareness to the growing threat of drug cartells and their escapades. Although I'm not sure if this is the exact thing I heard. It does seem to prove the point that the cartells are highly armed, and constantly causing individuals great fear.

For one, that infringes on a specific group of people's rights.  By executive order during a war to provide safety, I don't mind if a single group isn't allowed guns, unless they are selected by political party irrelevant to the opposing side.

So you are okay with discrimination? I bet that you're only okay with it as long as you aren't that "specific group". Would you like to know about previous wartime discrimination in the US? It just strikes me as incredibly ignorant when people say things like that.

Edit: Added bonus, the bold parts completely contradict each other.

the US is the most pill popping people on earth. thanks to obamacare, there already is a long list of people.

I'm sorry, but ObamaCare has absolutely nothing to do with that... Really, where do you get information like that from?

The government is out to take away all our freedoms. We should let the mentally unstable get guns because the constitution doesn't say we shouldn't.

Obamacare messed up everything

You're so biased it's crazy.

I personally think that criminals can still get guns even with strict gun laws, you know, because they're criminals, and people should defend their homes with guns. I'm really probably not going to debate this because it just turns into a bunch of starfishs babbling on about why their way is better.

I'm sure criminals in this country are magically different from the ones in other countries.

Obviously not magically, but I would guess they are different. I mean, they grew up around guns and hear how we have a right to them, so I'm guessing they feel more entitled to use guns, I guess. I'm not good at explaining but it's kind of like some criminals feel like they can just use guns willy nilly and it's not a big deal because everyone has them.

home defense
there was a story (dont know where) about this guy who was defending his house from protesters using an ar15
or hunting (yes they're semi-automatic so calm your tits)
I heard a statistic that stated it's more likely to win the lottery than to ever have to defend your house with a gun.
Also, many reported cases of gun defense have resulted in an accidental Self Delete due to a misfire or something similar.

So I'm an starfish for telling you you're wrong.

I'll just leave this here, folks. To provide context: After a school shooting in Scotland and a few other gun-related incidents throughout the UK, they banned almost all weaponry including all semi-automatic guns and shotguns, and any handguns over .22 caliber.
Look at the result. Also, if you do a little digging into the statistics, you'll find that there was a sharp drop in gun-related deaths (especially homicides) following gun bans.

Not only do I not believe statistics immediately if they're on a graph without a source citation, there's also the fact that the graph doesn't specify whether it measures per capita.

More gun violence per area means nothing when more people live in an area than another.

there's also the fact that the graph doesn't specify whether it measures per capita.
It tells you how each category is measured, wtf is wrong with you?
