And if they were using events, it may be possible that they are hiding them in the vehicle spawn brick. He could be using a relayed event to repeatedly add health. That event will usually make a player invincible to regular damage such as melee hits, bullets, or in your case getting hit by a vehicle, but they can still be killed if the damage is great enough to deplete their entire heath bar at once such as a rocket launcher or even falling damage. The event will reapply itself to the player after they respawn.
