Author Topic: Science Megathread  (Read 4293 times)

These things happen. How did it go?
Probably really well.

This sums it up.  Same with my math, French, history... but not as fun as PHYSICS.

can anyone explain to me the coefficient of restitution of a spring

I have physical science this semester
it's boring so far
of course, it is only high school stuff, and besides that, it's not even my favorite kind of science
biology is tho
why don't you just make this a science in general thread

I don't know whether I want to take anatomy or zoology later in high school. I don't think I'll have enough room for both, sadly

My physics class involves learning principles of physics but never doing anything too hard because everyone sucks. Rather than using trigonometry to do 2d collisions, we draw the lines to scale and measure. (I just cheat and use trigonometry anyway)

Drawing the vectors out? We did that for one lab, it was pretty terrible. I used up at least 4 crayons and broke one colored pencil, percent error was like -30% on the resultant ;)

This.

Reminds me of the time in chemistry we used sucky rulers, some scissors, and an ancient triple balance to measure the thickness of some aluminum foil in atoms. We managed to be only like 100% off though, which is pretty good considering.

I hear nothing gets bitches wetter than a good physics lecture.

Yv = Yv - 9.78 * Δ

do i win yet

pls

Physics > Chemistry > Biology

Chemistry>>Physics> Biology
Fixed.

Still, a science megathread would be better.

My teacher's like "Some of you may know SOHCAHTOA, but we're not gonna use trig, we'll gonna use a shortcut"

We're doing stuff with vectors right now, and honestly my class makes me feel really smart. And I'm by no means great at physics.

Physics > Chemistry > Biology
and what about things like zoology
science thread please
