Author Topic: Knife TDM's: this stuff needs to stop now  (Read 5440 times)

If they were that awful then why would people play them? Contrary to what you may believe, the value of a product is determined by the sales that product has, not by the decisions of a random group of people.

The reality is that people whine because when they host their sucky servers no one joins because they are too busy having fun at a knife TDM. Rather than whining about how knife TDMs suck, how about you make a server more worth joining, because that should be easy according to you.

so many things wrong with this
so many things

I feel like people aren't even aloud to host what they want anymore...

One of my original server ideas that I've never managed to start on was a vertical grapple knife TDM, in which combatants faced off on ledges scaling the four sides of a huge center tower that you couldn't reach the top of.
It got cancelled because I need someone to combine the grapple rope and the knife into one weapon for it to really work.

Yes, because the opinion of the majority is not important when determining the value of something.

Just because a lot of people eat hamburgers, doesn't mean they're healthy. Also, the point is that these servers have become a fever in Blockland and they're all the same, they're also effortless.

It doesn't mean they are healthy. It means they are a better product than whatever crap you claim is good.

You'd think with all of the people that complain about knife TDMs that someone would have made something than can attract more people by now.

diamonds are virtually worthless
they're only good for cutting other diamond and mining tools
other than that, they're just rocks sitting on females' fingers
they're absolutely worthless

People are virtually worthless
They're only good for killing each other and inventing stuff to kill animals
Other than that, they're just animals living on a planet
They're absolutely worthless

That type of reasoning makes complete sense. Except the value of something is determined by how much people will pay for it. Interestingly, people will pay a lot for diamonds, and people. People will also spend a lot of time at knife TDMs. See the correlation.

are you advocating slavery or something
I was referring to something people purchase on a daily basis in modern society
people don't purchase humans on a daily basis in modern society
and not for the reasons you listed
your brown townogy was complete stuff, mate

Your head is complete stuff.

Have you ever heard of ransoms, or perhaps civil cases against murderers? The human life has a high value. And it isn't an brown townogy, it is factual evidence to explain to you how value is determined, which you apparently cannot understand.

what in the name of common sense are you ranting on about
you just compared diamonds to humans in terms of their use:worth via brown townogy
I even said
I was referring to something people purchase on a daily basis in modern society
ransoms are not held every day on a daily basis in modern society
(don't even try to say "yes they are, it just isn't publicly announced!"
that reason is complete stuff and you know it)
human life has virtually no value if you look at its chemical make-up, as compared to diamonds

Microsoft once made this thing called Microsoft Office. This costs Microsoft mere pennies to make copies of due to the fact that CDs are cheap and burning stuff to them is cheap. Does that mean that Microsoft Office has a low value? No. Microsoft Office has a high value. Why? Because its value is based off of the fact that people will pay a lot for it, rather than its chemical composition.

A person once tried to barter a goat for wheat. He lived in a town where everyone was a goat farmer except one person, who made wheat. This goat took him years and years to make. Does that mean he got a lot of wheat for that goat? No. That goat had a high value. Why? Because its value is based off the fact that goats were in high supply, and wheat was in high demand. It wasn't based off of the time and effort put into it.
