Author Topic: Mac Screen Recording  (Read 1089 times)

I want a program that I can film Blockland stuff with for my Macbook Pro. I also want it so that it can get DECENT fps. Ive tried a few on the app store, but they all get like 10 fps. Any suggestions?

Also the reason you get 10 fps is because you're using a macbook pro

What? No. I usually get at least 60 fps no matter what server.

Do you have vsync on (not sure if it works for macs, last time I tried it didn't)?
What is your graphics card?
Is the screen recorder meant for recording games?

1. I have it disabled currently
2. NVIDIA GeForce 320M 256 MB
3. Im not sure

Bandicam
Fraps
Hypercam
Those are all for Windows aren't they?

Edit: Sorry for double post.

Sorry, I forgot that nothing decent works on Macs.

Make sure your recording software isn't recording at 60 FPS. This will result in major lag even on high end systems.
Set it to record at 24 FPS. It won't result in as much as framerate drop and still looks decent.

I used to use Camtasia 2. Had decent FPS. Like, 60.

Well no wonder you are getting 10FPS while recording. You have a graphics card with 256MB of VRAM.

My computer has 2 gb of ram and it runs at 9 fps :/

RAM =/= VRAM

Try getting a computer that doesn't require you to render everything by hand.
