:o it doesnt allow for physical disk wow.. never knew that.

What the forget is so cheap about it, myne has fallen multiple times and it still works, unless your only saying that because the 3DS is made in china and the previous DS where made in Japan.

Either way he shouldn't get a 3DS he should try and get an 3DS XL.
It fixes issues with the normal 3DS.

Edit:Whats with all the PS Fanboys in this thread? And no I'm not a Nintendo Fanboy I also have a share of Sony's Devices.
The word you are looking for is vulnerable. Cheapness is when you talk about a price.

Pros
-console quality graphics (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ycF7AozMYmk)
-bunch of good games
-2 brown townog sticks
-back touchpad
-3G
-5 inch multitouch OLED screen
-2 cameras
-kat
-small game chips so easily storable
-and basically all those fancy apps you can get on a smartphone (FB, youtube, netflix, etc.)

Cons
-not best quality cameras
-$300 for 3G but $250 for wifi
-no 3D (hue)

that's what I can think of atm

The bold ones are the ones that are in the 3DS too. (3 cameras for 1 camera facing you and 2 facing away for 3d pictures)

You forgot to add one of the biggest cons.

-3G ISP can only be AT&T

And it doesn't use Cartridges, it has exchangeable memory cards but everything is virtual.
Also for the record 3DS does have Console quality graphics too.

Its just the game you play that tells what graphics level.

However the 3DS does have cons too, one of them being the lack of a second brown townog stick.

too bad the 3rd camera doesn't do anything except add 3D
vita's game chips are smaller and vita has better games

I don't have a 3G model so it doesn't affect me. And what, it does use cartridges -.-

@bold AHAHAHAHAHAHAH nice joke, my psp has about the same graphics as the 3ds

Why have an brown townog stick when 90% of the games don't use it?

This is showing you being a fanboy.

Come one the 3DS is already having some Wii U  games coming out for at at nearly the same graphics level, and some of them will even have cross platforming available via Wii U and 3DS.

A prime example being Super Smash Bros. 4.

I do have a wii (smash bros is awesome) and I might be a little biased because I don't own a 3DS but honestly the 3DS graphics are barely better than the PSPs

Why is that so bad??

...so? I have way more fun with my 3DS than I ever did with my PSP. Nintendo isn't trying to make games with amazing graphics (although I think the 2D games tend to look really nice).

I agree with you there, I only really did like a few on my PSP games, rockband being my favorite.
However, the vitas has a lot better games than the PSP ever did and I enjoy most of my vita games.

So?

I'm using wifi because I mostly play off-line games, wifi is free and I don't pay a monthly fee.

3G > Any Wifi

But in this case you actually need a specific carrier for it to work.

So basically: In terms of internet access and not just how graphics are:
Vita = 3Ds = PSP

You mean because you are able to get it anywhere? Sure. In terms of speeds, hell no.
