Author Topic: JJ Abrams will direct Star Wars VII  (Read 3829 times)

As long as nothing they make conflicts with existing canon, has the original saga's characters and/or is just plain dumb and childish, I'm happy.

Then there was the modern trilogy with the kid pod racing for half the movie and Anakins boring emo scenes and love scenes.

Fortunately these BAMFers made up for all the stupid stuff in AOTC and ROTS.

I liked the 2009 ST film personally. But I'm not sure about Star Wars

star trek is not about action
Although it may be different, I don't think that makes it a bad movie.

This
Yes the older Star Trek wasn't about action but the times have changed. Most people nowadays want to see action, so to reach the targeted audience they updated the feel of Star Trek to impress the people who aren't already Star Trek fans. The result of it all, it worked. Star Trek (2009) made a lot of money and because of that, it was a success. I have seen pretty much all of the old Star Trek movies and the latest 2009 movie. I like them both in their own right. I can live with either one of them, so it isn't that big of a deal to me that they made the latest movie have tons more action in it.
