got something to add to the "Why hasnt someone come from the future yet" list
when the first stable time machine is created, a time paradox will take place wherein records and documentaries will appear into existance showing us time travelers ect

also to do with the law it could be based on preventing future time travelers from sharing future technology with present day people.

yeah but they could just go back in time before the guys went back in time and told them and someone could just tell them not to do it or they'd be arrested.

If the time travelers share weapons with us from the 26th cetury, we might not even live to see out the 21st.

also time machines must have like a time lock on them actually stopping them going this far back in time when humans are obnoxious in general.

Theory on why people haven't come back to us yet; you need a point in which to lock onto, so only when the first point is made is when you'll be able to travel back to it.

I think probably the reason is because it would almost definitely cause problems to introduce time travel to people in the past
like, in that book where kids are taken from our past by people in the future and adopted in the present, they're only allowed to take children that would have had no effect, like ones that went missing and were never found, or something like that

my theories of why nobody has gone back in time to our time:

1. People have, but they were put into asylums because people thought they were crazy.
2. A law preventing people.
3. Money issues.
4. All humans die somehow in the future.
5. Time Travel (at least to the past) is impossible.
6. Alternate dimensions/timelines/universes.
