Author Topic: Ocean liner R.M.S Queen Mary 1  (Read 11448 times)

Well I decided to create a new topic for the QM1 as apparently having all my builds in one topic was confusing so il upload all pics here from now on.

Now the towers on the superstructure have to be redone as they out of position >< , railings need to be added on bow decks lower bow needs fixing, entire ships needs to be lifted and have a keel added with stabilizers and interior etc...

The ships is 310 meters long and around 35 meters wide it's 1/1 scale the popular ww2 era British liner Queen Mary 1 which is now a hotel in Long beach California

Wow this looks great! If I could rate this would go over 10! Are you planning on filming  anything after the build? Would you think of releasing it free later on?

Ysmir's Beard! That is beautiful!

Probably not releasing it , I'm very touchy about my builds and yeah id probably do filming and take note i built this purely by myself in two days

anyhow front wall of bridge added  along with bridge viewing platform and the two observation houses tower has been positioned and rebuilt and now the boat deck has it's life boat lauchers

more pics coming soon lifeboats being added top deck and either today tomorrow or day after the three  smokestacks

O.O Wow... You know, sometimes I forget what Blockland can really do when in the hands of determined, skilled, creative people.

Just how did you do that, man? Were you copying blueprints or just going off reference photos?

thank you and i'm using my 1/570 revell model and reference pics

it makes me happy, it makes me sad
it makes me laugh, it makes me cry
it

it

it's wonderful

In all honesty i'm just trying to outdo Bones4's Titanic and take note all this progress has been made over three days by just me alone

I'm starting on the back now

Very nice! Will any interiors (Besides the bridge I guess) be done?

2 Days to make alllll of that. Damm i need some dedication.

Very nice.
But some parts look very duplicated. Dunno how you can avoid that, but you should at least try to cover it up with stuff.

That's a very high goal you set yourself there. His Titanic is very accurate and with alot of attention for detail. Even the engines are accurately rebuilt!

what do you want me to do lol use 4x4's? an did only used dupe to make basic hull shape lol which in time will be rebuilt for the better shape, also yes everything will be rebuilt to replica standards including interior and "engines". althrough I may recruit a team for interior help as it's not my cup of tea
