So this thing is BIG AND I DID NOT EDIT ANYTHING HERE. I think there's a bigger star but screw that. NOPE. I imagine a ton of you people know about it but I thought I'd share it with those who don't.

Also, it takes light 8.5 hours to travel all the way around it

There are probably other stars out there in our massive and expanding universe that are equal in size or bigger, but even so, VY Canis Majoris is loving massive on any stellar scale.

That big though, it doesn't have an exceptionally long life-span.

Would make an absolutely massive explosion and nebulae if it went supernova.

A quick search shows that this is not the biggest star, that there are others possibly over 1000 solar radii larger.
