he only horror in this game = jump scares

This. Kinda pissed about the direction it took

let's hope the storyline is great.

because no matter how many people complain about their games, they undoubtedly still buy them

they're going to get forgeted in the ass in the future.

I don't even care for the Dead Space franchise and I know the third game will be horrible.  Microtransactions and straight up console port (with the only addition being keyboard/mouse compatibility) is just absolute ripe for disaster and money waste.

I thought the game was a couple of months out, and I was going to use that time to decide whether or not I was going to pre-order it. I probably won't now. I don't know what I'll do. :(

I cannot convey how I get that same feeling every time a MMO is coming out then I find it's like 2 weeks away, I feel legitimately bad for you :(
yes. that's why i said it looks like garbage

from what I see, the only horror in this game = jump scares
Okay, I can grant you that right for at least playing one of the games in the series.

I've been watching some of this game, and you guys are wrong: weapon crafting is loving amazing (put the tesla core under a shotgun, I dare you), and the scares aren't only jumpscares; this game has atmosphere. Also, 19 motherloving story missions and tons of sidequests with Borderlands 2 style heaps of loot at the end of them.

but theres loads of graphics options

I just finished the game. The story is awesome, and it ended very very appropriately. Executed very nicely. The weapons customization is a loving blast, lets me play how I want to play. And I went through the entire game without ever needing to use MTX (the game gives you "rations" that you can use instead of MSPoints (or whatever currency you use depending on console) that you obtain throughout scavenging for resources). I feel the shift from pure horror to horror/intense action was necessary based on the story. In the beginning, the game is about pure mystery. As the story unfolds, things happen, knowledge gets known, and things need to get done. Isaac isn't a super-soldier. He's a loving engineer. He needs all the help he can get. With that, people come in, and with people, comes a sense of relief. Stories and atmosphere has to change to progress. The game is still creepy as hell, just not the horror-fest the first one was.

Let me emphasize that I never used MTX, stop crying.

Will gladly coop with anyone who wants to play it. Already beat it on single player.

things to remember: 05798770, 05262440, and 0521E400

still working my way through a first run on my own, so far so good.

I actually played the first half by myself, then my little brother insisted I play co-op with him. So I finished it that way. Co-op is very robust, and it isn't intrusive, as long as you have a good partner.

Also, Telemetry gun with diffraction torus (chain-gun riveter) with military core and conical thingymabobber (shotgun) makes best gun. I used the Evangelizer shotty.
