Author Topic: Blocklander interviewing, give me your thoughts = you could end up on the news!  (Read 2640 times)

How long have you been playing the game?
About four years.
What is the game generally about?
In focus, it's about building, but once you're done with a build you can fight, destroy things, and make movies and stuff. Anything, really.
How do you get and start the game?
You buy it, then you start it.
What do you do in the game?
Anything you want.
What is your general opinion of the game?
I think it's the best building sandbox game I've seen yet.
Has the game influenced your actual life?
Yes, I would probably still be playing some stuff like Roblox if it weren't for this.
Why do you like the game?
I've always been a fan of LEGO products, so this game is ideal for me. The community keeps me here.

I'll give this a go:

How long have you been playing the game?
I have had my Blockland ID since August 1st, 2010, and have been playing for almost two-and-a-half years.

What is the game generally about?
This is a game with no goal, but it is clear that the game runs on a building system and an add-on system where you can add to or modify the game and your builds.

How do you get and start the game?
Blockland is not free - it costs $20. To get it just go here and pay $20 for a lifetime key.

What do you do in the game?
In Blockland, you can play on and host multiplayer servers, create add-ons and game-modes, or just play the game by yourself. There is no goal, so there are many servers with different themes and game-play styles.

What is your general opinion of the game?
This is my favorite game, and I highly recommend it for other people. Even though the game community and forum community can not be very great sometimes, there are still many friendly and helpful people across the game and on the fourms.

Has the game influenced your actual life?
I wouldn't say so, but I have spent large amounts of time working on builds, add-ons, server hosting, and personal projects in this game.

and why do you like the game?
I like the game because of the small community that continues to grow as it provides for a unique game-play experience where you can make many online friends and visit many different servers of other people. There are many things you can do in the game and its engine, and even after years, the game is still constantly updated and new servers and ideas are made. I also enjoy it because hosting a large server is quite a fun experience, as well as working on large projects and contributing to servers of other people.

How long have you been playing the game?   June 2008
What is the game generally about?   You construct anything you desire using bricks.
How do you get and start the game?   I saw an advertisement and decided to buy it.
What do you do in the game?   You can either build, roleplay, battle, or do anything you want.
What is your general opinion of the game?   It is a great game that is extremely underrated.
Has the game influenced your actual life?   A little, the forums has made my life more interesting.
and why do you like the game?   I mostly like the community, and I love the concept.

So im in a news club and we decided to make a story about Blockland and we are interviewing people. But we need help from you! Post your thoughts about the game by answering the following:

How long have you been playing the game? About 3 years.
What is the game generally about? The game is about building your imagination online. You can build a house, a train, a plane, or even your neighborhood.
How do you get and start the game? You go to the official website, www.blockland.us, and then click the buy button, you then follow the instructions. Worth the 20 bucks.
What do you do in the game? I build and hang out with my friends. The community is unique and I bet you will find a friend if you fit in.
What is your general opinion of the game? The game is really amazing, Baspot, our main developer, worked hard on this game and Blockland proves his work. The game itself has its social aspects, which is amazing.
Has the game influenced your actual life? Actually, the social aspects have made my experiences in life change, so yes.
and why do you like the game? The game is a good aspect, but the community is the thing that doesn't make me leave.

How long have you been playing the game?
Going on my 5th year now.
What is the game generally about?
Building with Lego-esque blocks in whatever way shape or form you want to, then playing on the map. Deathmatches, roleplays, freebuilds, etc.
How do you get and start the game?
You buy it at the blockland.us website, download the demo, enter your key on the demo and you're good.
What do you do in the game?
Question 2
What is your general opinion of the game?
I really don't know any other game that I enjoy over blockland. So many things to do. Probably my favorite game on my computer just because of the flexibility of the addon system and the ability to do really anything the engine allows.
Has the game influenced your actual life?
The community helped me to get better with spelling/grammar. Can't really think of much else other than helping my imagination i guess.
and why do you like the game?
Pretty much the same as question 5. You're given free reign to do what you want when you want. Whether you want to make a small dm, trench ctf, medieval/space/whatever rp/g servers. Anything. There's really something for everyone.

How long have you been playing the game?
About year and a half. (I am not as old as most others who participated in this interview, but I see this game in most of the aspects they do.)

What is the game generally about?

It is about building anything you want. Literally, your imagination is about the limit.

How do you get and start the game?
Go to the Blockland webpage, blockland.us, click the Buy button, and chose how you want to order it. After you get your Activation Key, you download the demo, and put in your key.

What do you do in the game?
You build stuff, as the motto suggests. But there are also a wide variety of Add-ons to enhance your gameplay (Guns, music, tools, you name it)

What is your general opinion of the game?

I believe this game is one of the best games out there. Even after I get a new game, after awhile, I get bored of it and then it's back to Blockland.

Has the game influenced your actual life?
It has. I would probably be playing Roblox still if I hadn't discovered this. The community has also changed how I see things. I would probably fall into the tricks the news and other parts of life, if the community hasn't corrected my ways.

and why do you like the game?
I like this game because, as I said before, it's one of the best games out there. The freedom of doing about whatever you want is awesome. There is always something for any person to do on this.

How long have you been playing the game?: Coming up on five years in april/may.

What is the game generally about?: Using your creativity to re-create your dreams (that sounds corny)

How do you get and start the game?: You head on over to blockland.us and follow the instructions. There are a few payment options which you can choose to your liking.

What do you do in the game?: Anything that you desire. You can be playing a team death match one minute and then be building the next. As of right now, a few friends and I are building a soon to be lounge/hangout area with many mini-games, including a ski run.

What is your general opinion of the game?: I find the game very fun and it is as if it's a hidden gem. I've made some friends on the game that I still know almost five years later. With the new-ish launcher, the game only gets better by the quick and simple updates.

Has the game influenced your actual life?: It got me into computers because it was the first game I played heavily. This caused me to figure out how a computer works from the inside and people now come to me for questions about computers. Because of this, I plan to go into a field of engineering that involves computers, like Computer Hardware Engineering.

and why do you like the game?: It lets me bring my dreams to life (That also sounds corny, but whatever)

So im in a news club and we decided to make a story about Blockland and we are interviewing people. But we need help from you! Post your thoughts about
How long have you been playing the game? Too long.

What do you do in the game? Debate about pointless religious topics, get free-killed at jail RPs constantly and rage due to bad administration.
What is your general opinion of the game? You already know.
Has the game influenced your actual life? Ha, ha, wait, you're serious?
and why do you like the game? I didn't know I liked it.

Do I win?

Since I guess I would make an interesting interviewee..

How long have you been playing the game?
Since late 2009

What is the game generally about?
It's a sandbox, basically anything that's not limited due to engine restrictions.

How do you get and start the game?
I found an ad for blockland after hearing about it on ROBLOX, and I picked up the demo until I got bored of it. Two years later after lurking the forums, I buy blockland and make a forum account.

What do you do in the game?
Administrate servers, play with friends and sometimes build for hosts who don't like building.

What is your general opinion of the game?
It's a great game. I've played it more than any other game just because of the replayability value it has.

Has the game influenced your actual life?
To an extent. Interaction with the broader side of the community matured me, whereas meeting some interesting folks improved upon my sense of humor and general outlook.

and why do you like the game?
Because it's pretty forgetin fun if you ask me

So im in a news club and we decided to make a story about Blockland and we are interviewing people. But we need help from you! Post your thoughts about the game by answering the following:

How long have you been playing the game? Since 2009, so 5 years this october
What is the game generally about? Building, sharing your creations, then blowing them I smithereens, with or without your friends inside.
How do you get and start the game? The game generally costs $20.00 from blockland.us/. Starting the game is similar to just about any game or computer application, but if you ever need assistance the forum can be a helpful place if your willing to cooperate with people.
What do you do in the game? Literally everything, but nothing. I can build a castle, fight a lizard man, fly a rocket ship, ride a nuclear warhead cowboy rodeo style, do a barrel roll, and I CAN believe its not butter.
What is your general opinion of the game? The overall community, at times, can be immature, however the more experienced users always know how to have fun and provide a fun environment.
Has the game influenced your actual life? It has, I text several of my "blockhead" friends and we've always helped each other out, whether being a wingman or just being there to listen to each other.
and why do you like the game? Why do you like food? Because it tastes good and it's required to live. Well what's to say fun isnt required to survive either? Have to stay somewhat same somehow.

Hope that helps

How long have you been playing the game? Since Spring of 2010, when I was 12.

What is the game generally about? As a kid you probably remember at some point making lego/ block creations, and you always had your 'minifigure' toys running about your creation. In Blockland, that concept is used, and taken to a whole new level. YOU are the minifigure! You are in first person and get to make your own character. You can build, drive vehicles, and use cool items, as well as make modifications for the game.

How do you get and start the game? All you have to do is visit www.blockland.us and download the demo, which limits you to 100 bricks, but you can have it for as long as you want. The actual game costs roughly $20, but it is a life time membership, which is great. I suggest you buy the game, even if you may have a few doubts. This game requires a bit of learning, and it may be a bit frustrating at first to learn certain keybinds and the such.

What do you do in the game? The boundaries of what you can do is the power of your imagination... That's right, you can do basically any thing! Build using cool bricks, special emitters, light effects, custom colors, etc. You can even use "Events" which control a brick and make it have special properties. Many players host their own single player, LAN, or mulitplayer servers which can have a bunch of categories, including the following (Note, you can make your own!):
-Free builds (Join and build what ever you want)
-Role plays of all types (Family, Military, even things like dragon RPs, Government vs. Rebels type servers, etc.)
-Mini-Cart racing
-Team Death Matches (Fight with your friends on your builds in various game modes as a team)
-Death Matches (Every man for himself!)
-Many more! Check out the servers list on the "Servers" tab on www.blockland.us

What is your general opinion of the game? Overall, I really like the game. Let's be honest, this is a really biased opinion
(After all, Ive been playing for about 3 years). I just love the endless possibilities this game has to offer, and you meet really cool players. I personally love making vehicles out of bricks, which are fun. Also, legos nowadays are just getting so expensive! Without the hassle of going to the store and paying a lot of money, you can just log onto Blockland, which, as I said earlier, only costs $20, and do anything!

Has the game influenced your actual life? Yes, I think it has. Ive been coordinating things involving my clan, and leading them, and teaching people how build stuff. After a while, you get comfortable doing this stuff in real life too. I have to say that it has also given me a greater knowledge of things like the B-17 Flying Fortress, among other planes and battles I have replicated. Also, as a result of Blockland I have taught my self to use several programs including Windows Movie Maker, Bandicam, and Paint, to name a few. Lastly! Ive used Blockland for school projects! Yep, thats right! For about 3 projects, Ive used builds in blockland to help me in some way, shape , or form. Taking pictures of builds and printing them out is really helpful.

and why do you like the game? (Stated in general opinion of the game) But also probably because I am really creative, and you can express yourself in Blockland very easily!

Has the game influenced your actual life? I am pretty sure it has, it's helped with grammar and my maturity.
