Author Topic: Animations not working in 1st person  (Read 1844 times)

Yes there is a lame fix to this by changing the eyeOffset to 0 0 0 but that brings along other visual problems like the item moving up on the screen as you look down.

Why exactly do the animations (eg. default armAttack) do not play in the first person viewpoint? How do you fix this? It's DTS exporting/modeling related, the script has no anomalies.

It isn't playing because my weapon has no animation. The default sword plays an animation in the first person that matches the 3rd person animation that is the default armAttack.

To replicate that sword animation I need an answer to this: http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=185575.msg6306439#msg6306439

Can you try replicate the animation manually? Trial and error?

Too much unnecessary work. The animations plays correctly in Shaper but it isn't exported from what I can tell.

When I was interested in that custom player animations thing, I wanted to apply the same concept to weapons. Tried Shaper, but just like what you're having it didn't export any animations.

I did some more research on dts importers and I found a program called Ultimate Unwrap 3d. It's $50 to get, but it's dts importer is absolutely flawless and it can export to almost any format. I bought it myself and it works really nicely.
