Author Topic: Can you find a way to make a sentence where you can't replace the word "got"?  (Read 1946 times)

I couldn't fit this into the title :( Nevermind I fit it

Can you find a way to not replace the word got in a sentence?
Confusing?

My teacher in Language Arts has a daily contest. She hates the word "got". If we tell her a sentence that cannot be replaced by "got", that person gets (She's OK with the word "get" or "gets") $10 into this checking book thingy. This is a ton of money because she normally gives us 5 cents or 10 cents for good stuff that we do. That money can be exchanged for a gift card. I have $2.76 right now (since September but I lost it for 2 months).

Senences that could be used

forgetface got a PS3 for Christmas (You can replace got with recieved)
He got himself a new forums account as an alt. (Replace got with bought)

Sentences that con't be used

We are not allowed to use the word "got" in Mrs. forgetface's class (It needs to be in a verb tense)
He had a "got" all over his shirt (Someone said this, don't be handicapped please)

Help me please?

So you want us to give a sentence that none of the words can be replaced by the word "got"?

It has to be used as a noun to achieve that

How about "My teacher wants us to find a sentence that uses the word "got" in a non replaceable way."

thank me later

gotham city is full of crime

So you want us to give a sentence that none of the words can be replaced by the word "got"?
I want a sentence that contains the word "got", but the word "got" cannot be replaced by anything

It has to be used as a noun to achieve that

My teacher says that she knows a way. Either that or she's being a bitch

gotham city is full of crime
 :cookieMonster:

receivedham city is full of crime

receivedham city is full of crime
obtainham is a city full of crime

got = received

good luck bud

By asking for these sentences she got what was coming to her.

WOOO

What she aquired what was coming to her? nope because what came to her is not physical

You would have to change the sentence to get rid of Got

obtainham is a city full of crime
incuredham is a city full of crime i hear

If she's ok with the word get then just use that?

Like

I will get an apple tomorrow.
Get can't be replaced with got?

I'm not sure if I understand what you're asking entirely though but I think this is what you mean...

Also your teacher is a bitch for hating a word.
That's loving dumb and I hope she kills herself.
