Author Topic: Can you find a way to make a sentence where you can't replace the word "got"?  (Read 2270 times)

There is a way, but I can't figure it out right now.

Also your teacher is a bitch for hating a word.
That's loving dumb and I hope she kills herself.
Yup shes a total bitch

Another thing would be to say something like "The goat got kicked in the ribs"
got could be replaced by was however they don't have the same meaning so the sentences would be different.

Also someone check this to make sure I'm not wrong somewhere.

By asking for these sentences she got what was coming to her.

WOOO

What she aquired what was coming to her? nope because what came to her is not physical

You would have to change the sentence to get rid of Got

AHHHHHH RESPOND YOU loving KING OF NIOTHING

AHHHHHH RESPOND YOU loving KING OF NIOTHING
She received what was coming to her.

AHHHHHH RESPOND YOU loving KING OF NIOTHING
Good idea, I'll use that tomorrow

Good idea, I'll use that tomorrow

I wouldn't as it's clearly wrong.

I got rid of my shirt?

"I received rid of my shirt" still works sort of, but most English teachers worth their salt should have a brain hemorrhage reading/thinking that
