You are very naive. The point isn't that there aren't dog fights, the point is that if put up against any of these planes save for all of the ones I posted (b52, V22, AC130) it would have its titanium alloy ass handed to itself.

That, and the way things are going, it'll all be drones and high-speed jets. The A-10 WAS good for Iraq, afghan and the like, but now we're at least TRYING to leave. After that, the A-10 will just go down as the bathtub that was capable of flying.

Oh, and of they continuously fire their cannon and eat up EVERY bullet, it would stop in mid-air.

Obviously nothing replaces experience, but a little extra research alone is enough to give you a small clue at the very least. If you find this talk bothersome, you should check out military aviation enthusiast forums. Things can get five times as silly in those.
