Author Topic: How to make dedicated server save Prefs.  (Read 359 times)

When I exit out of the dedicated server cmd, even with "quit();" it won't save the title, welcome message or anything. It just starts a default server.

What is the way to make it save the settings and load them next time I dedicate host?

This is probably happening because you are running both the server and the game from the same folder.

If you're going to continue doing it this way, make sure you close the game BEFORE you shut down the server. Otherwise, run your server from a different BL installation.

Is there another way? It can get really confusing with having two blockland installation servers.

This is extremely annoying. I'm losing my patience here.

I now try to host a dedicated server and the player number list is 0. I can't join in.

Why is it loading the default prefs? I checked the console and it loads the default server prefs, not the ones that are saved from my normal server.

Ok got it to work by just copying the edited Prefs.cs from Config/Server to Base/Server.
