Author Topic: My pet mouse just exploded [NFSW-ish]  (Read 18573 times)

human companionship isn't like in other species, it's pretty much eat or be eaten.
thats the food chain, not canniblism

It looks like you crushed your mouse to death and then you went to post it on the forums like it's funny, you're sick.

A delicious new cereal from L. Tony Inc.

there has to be a logical explaination for this, a mouse can't just spontainously explode.

I'm thinking. I really have no clue what could've happened.

Did you try Google yet?

I agree, but I disagree that the logical explaination we're looking for involves cannibalism

Mice do not explode unless there was foul play involved. Like I said, you're sick.

wtf is wrong with you.

both were female. also, the other mouse was trying to comfort Souris' dead body, not eat it.
sorry but you sound like one of those pet owners that decides their pets favourite colour and thinks they are more human than they really are

wtf is wrong with you.

If by "wtf is wrong with you" that I do not support being a wannabe serial killer by posting pictures of a tiny small animal I just killed then yes, there is something wrong with me.

Possibly this happened.

My mouse's head exploded, or was torn off. What the hell?
I have 4 mice, in the past two days, 2 of their heads exploded!!!!!! We didn't witness it happen, but can't find the heads. The second one's head exploded one day after the first one did, but it looked very sleepy and ill.
Are they eating each other? Is this a disease? There are no discoloration or sign of skin abnormalities. They weren't over skinny or too fat. My sister was in charge of them and was not very consistently maintaining them, but I know they have had steady water supply. HELP!!!!!

I've seen sometimes, when one rodent dies in a cage with other rodents, the remaining ones will eat the deceased, in some cases, head first. because mouse bones are small they are difficult to see, thus the impression that there is nothing left of the skull and jaw at all - plus, the other mice might have broken the bones while eating their fallen brethren.
If the mice had attacked the dead ones and killed them, you might have seen damage to the throat and stomach more than a removal of the head, thus leaving me to believe one died of natural causes and another ate it, then got sick himself and died and was eaten by the others. You might want to separate the remaining mice, in case one of them becomes ill, as you wouldn't want the other one to catch it.
