Isn't 120Hz the minimum requirement for 3D monitors?

No, 60Hz is I believe.

Their registration system must be forgeted up.
I signed up for an account there and I haven't got my activation email yet.
Yes, I have checked my spam messages. It isn't anywere in my email. I also double-checked the email I registered by going back to the registration page. I also tried sending some more activation emails. Nothing. Not even one email.

This is the profile I'm supposed to have.
And apparently, between the last successful person who registered and mine, about 112 people are having the same problem.

The server is really horrible, once for two days straight it took 20 long seconds to load anything when only like 44 total people were on it.

Doesn't the FPS deal with their server client? If so, they'd have to ship out a ton of it and pay a ton of money, which could be the issue, since RGC is around the corner.

I just want to punch him straight in the face.

ew wat smf version are they using

the response rate for most monitors is ~5ms and the refresh rate is ~60Hz.

meaning, every time a video card changes a pixel from grey to white, it takes 5ms (5/1000 of a second) to change the monitor pixels; meaning the maximum frame changes per second is somewhere around 200, or a 200FPS cap for most monitors. 1ms response time monitors would have a maximum of somewhere around 1000 FPS.

that being said, you would need a 60ms response time to have a cap of 60FPS.

as for 60Hz monitors, color to color transition takes about 16ms, which makes for a 62.5FPS color change max.

so they're correct for people running 60Hz monitors, though FPS is usually measured by the amount of frames per second the GPU is running at, so the refresh rate of the monitor makes no difference. the monitor is running at ~60FPS constantly because of the 60Hz maximum, however there are monitors that run at higher Hz, such as 75Hz and 120Hz monitors. these monitors can run, respectively, ~75FPS and ~120FPS.

afaik the engine Roblox runs does have a 60FPS video card max because of some v-sync thing

That forum is like the garbage bin of the internet.

Did anyone else think of an Iron Pure (RuneScape players will know what I'm talking about) when they saw the name of the URL?

"hertz" directly translates to "per second" and vice versa, but with a unit you need to word it differently.

60 FPS = framerate of 60Hz

60Hz is definitely an important number of LCD screens.

It depends on how the 3D is done. If it's like nVidia 3D you need at least a 120Hz monitor to display 60Hz for each eye.
(nVidia 3D works by blocking out one eye, then the other really fast)
