Author Topic: SD card wont read?  (Read 685 times)

Im trying to get some old pictures off of an SD card from forever ago. However, my computer wont read it without wanting to format it, and It refuses to be read through cameras. I believe the card is too old, but I can't loose the pictures. Ive tried my sister's old computer but it wont work.

Anyone know any sort of program or device that can help me?

Do you have a Wii?

Yeah.

Just tried it. Didn't read the Card

Nope. It just won't be read

My camera can look at the files but its super laggy for some reason

maybe its just me but if theres one thing ive learned from all my time using sd cards is that theyre unreliable pieces of stuff that get easily corrupted

and yes, i do treat them carefully

If it wants to format, it's corrupt.
Your files are forever gone unless you can find a program that can retrieve files or a service or something.

Sounds like a busted SD card. Corrupted.

Can't you do that with geek squad or some other nerd tech service?

I would give my SD-card for these guys

But i can still view the files when they are plugged into a Camera... So maybe only kinda busted?

it's probably locked...
Slide that lock thing on the side of the card so it is not locked.

Can you connect your camera to your computer with a USB cable to transfer the pictures?
