After 5 seconds (?), it should normally say ---, and it probably did, till the server finally gave a response, then it properly updates that --- into the real ping.

this makes me want to host a server, and send false info to the master server so it think I have like 99999 ping
(not actually doing this)
The master server doesn't record the ping data, the clients collect that information themselves.

You have to play that server through e-mail.
