InfectionInfection is what it's name implies. It's a zombie server. Even though I may not have figured out the perfect story for the server, the zombie mod itself is about done so it's time to make a little topic about this.
GameplayYou spawn in a church. Let me remind you that just afking wont do. Infact I've died inside the spawns because my loving zombies found me. Anyway, you go into the first part of the church (it's ACM city, someone build me something better pleaaaase) and you pick up some weapons. Nothing big.
Then you walk outside. You notice the zombies, you start walking shooting blah blah, and then a zombie goes across the corner and into your room and you die because the zombie found you and killed you. Though when you kill zombies, you get EXP. EXP gives you levels. Levels increases the damage your gun does.
Incase you haven't realized: these zombies are pretty smart. Anyway, I have a few ideas for gamemodes currently:
Revival - Everyone spawns with a syringe, a tazer, a gun (based on your level) and 5 lives. You have to go around and healing zombies by tazing them and injecting them to because normal again. Once they are normal they will try to find there way into the church.
Get to the choppa! - You start at the base of a building, at the top is a helipad with a helicopter. The building is infested with zombies. You have to get to the choppa and fly away. (everyone alive must be in the helicopter)
Eliminate all zombies - You can guess what you do
Feel free to suggest The ModThe Mod is a big part because well, it is a custom one. It may or may not be released in the near future (thinking about it). The mod was originally started by Slicksliver555, after he gave up (the zombies were LAGEEE) I picked it up a bit ago. I redid a few parts and got it to a place where I like it. The zombies may use up a bit of the CPU (not much) but it is worth seeing them do these craaaayyyyzaaayyy things. Anyway, it's current features are:
- Smart Path Finding AIs (Dijkstra)
- Leveling up System
Anyway, I currently need the following:
- Modeler (need some custom playertypes)
- Builders (need some better maps, preferably maps with less little tiny details).
