I agree, it's fun, but advertising your server in a drama thread is stupid, even when it's the subject of the topic. I don't see how I'm wrong, can someone explain to me if I'm missing something?

Because its been proven that there is no legitimate drama at this point. If the server was drama'd for whirlwind blocking the door, then yes, advertising would be bad, but overall most of the comments AFTER whirlwind explained have been positive, so no, advertising really isn't THAT bad.
