My Kindle Fire's performance has gone down the stuffter as of late. I'm not using a ton of space on it, only about 15% of the internal storage is used up.
Grievances towards the king
-When playing any video, the tablet starts to stutter and the touch screen becomes completely unresponsive. Putting it to sleep mode / Hard restarting it are the only ways out and those take a good minute to do.
-Opening up the applications tab will result in the Search Bar being opened up after about 1~2 seconds, no matter what I do.
-The Music Player does not support album art for any albums that were not purchased through amazon. (This is not a technical issue however)
The whole thing is just running really slow, and I don't really think that a Kindle Fire is high up on some scriptkiddie's list of things he wants to write malicious code for.
My next recourse of action is going to just reset all of silk's data (silk is the web browser/video player application) and see where that gets me, but that still most likely solve all the issues.
God Damn I can't wait for a stable version of Jelly Bean to come out for this tablet.
The whole thing is just way to locked down to begin with. Using Amazon's "app store" as opposed to the Google Play Store and therefore not giving me the option to use some other browser like Opera or Chrome. Also the music player has no Graphic EQ and that really bothers me. It feels like I'm using an apple product.
