Author Topic: Rant on Anti-Bronies  (Read 3283 times)

Now some of you may not have been expecting a rant to come from this side of the battle, but it has and for a good reason at that.
I have been watching in anger as the hate for bronies stack up to the point where people feel the need to make their opinions on
how we, as a fandom and as a group of friends, are, and excuse my language, a bunch of friends. first, why are humans still using
loveuality as an insult? Second, when does a show determine your loveuality? If someone is watching a show about, for instance,
homoloveuality and being homoloveual, still doesn't mean that they are homoloveual. But there is more, names aren't the only thing
you like to throw done on us, you also feel the need to generalize the hole fandom into one or two sub-categories. In any situation
you shouldn't judge a group as a hole but as individuals. I sometimes find myself getting angry at a furry or two for something i
doubt i would remember a day or two from then, but i still don't go hating the hole fandom for those individuals acts. you could
say that im doing that as of now, but even if i were to go and tell every anti-brony a rant, i doubt it would be much different from
this one. You have a right to get angry at the ones who post their pictures everywhere, but you have to realize that not every god
damn brony does that. Another thing you Anti-Bronies like to do is tell us to keep our stuff in the pony thread. While its sad i have
to tell you this, even if there was a thread for other fads like YOLO or such, i don't think that would stop them from posting it in
other places. There is also still the fact that the show is meant for younger ages. Just because a show is meant for younger people
and for another gender does not mean we cannot watch it. If a female where to play Call of Duty, they would not get shunned
just as if a child where to watch house. All i am asking is that the hatred of bronies at least be calmed on this great forum, because
i along with many others i would think, do not like being treated like we get treated. Im saying this as it is to you because most of the
Blockland forums are anti-bronies.

“When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty, I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.”

― C.S. Lewis
Do realize that this is not an attack on everyone and that i respect your opinions, i just would not like to be treated like iv been treated recently
*Some grammar may be off due to me being sleepy and angry

learn to paragraph.

you're right though

I haven't seen this as a problem. Why should you care some dudes are picking on you and your fellow fanboys? If you are doing something that could get you made fun of then don't do it in public and keep it to yourself.

yeah. op just put their post into one big crap ball instead of using paragraphs.

Yeah, it hurt reading that.
Nymphs post killed my liver :(.

You quoted C.S. Lewis, which makes me like your argument a billion times better.
Anyway, I agree fully. I've never seen the show, but I can't understand the hate for it.

There's no reason that it should be made fun of, though.

This is pretty pathetic. Having a tv show as your defining quality is already worthy of being made fun of. People get criticized for liking tons of things, what makes you special for liking a show that's intended audience is little girls?

The whole point is that he shouldn't have to hide it and keep it to himself.

The post looked better in the preview x.x

Just because a show is meant for younger people and for another gender...
so you understand the problem.

now step 2 is fixing yourself.

before reading this thread: "oh good it's another thread about how mlp teaches wholesome values"
I'm glad that at the very least, the OP had something good to say (the whole loveuality thing)

regardless, we tell you to keep your stuff in your thread because it's one of the most obnoxious fandoms in existence. on top of that, the show is stuffty, so it's a bunch of pointless sound and fury for something that really doesn't need defending.

go ahead and share your opinions. anyone with half a brain won't give a forget. just don't shove it down peoples' throats. it's as simple as that.

as harsh as bisjac can be with his phrasing, he has a completely valid point
good animation, plotlines, relatable characters, and values can be found in any other show, and they won't be shows about bright vectorized ponies.
have a good evening folks

I dont like the people who spread their fandom for the show like a religion, be that through images, posts, phrases, avatars or anything used as such. The title "Brony" is just a category they fall under. One bad apple spoils the pot.

I hate bronies and you cant stop that.
My opinion is my opinion, stop making topics about it.
