I know you can use OPEN GL and as you all know INtel sucks wiht open GL, So if you can choose a difffernt source with open gl as your onel choice does that mean you can use something else?

Intel graphics will suck regardless of Open GL or not. They still wouldn't be able to run shaders well.

In Blockland, this is the same result on five computers I tried.

Yeah, I don't think so. Also, Intel HD Graphics are not great in general, so even with a different graphics engine, you probably wouldn't be able to run shaders very well.

The fact that the only display driver available in the options is OpenGL isn't a coincidence.

This is what blockland itself uses to render the game. Badspot himself stated this wasn't likely to change.
Get a better GPU.

you are never gonna see shadows in blockland, or in most modern games. seriously stop complaining about your integrated chip and buy a better gpu, you can get some decent ones for about 100 bucks
