What classes should I pick for high school?

trust me, I say from experience that digital art will help you go a long way. and marketing or anything else related to business will be vital. culinary arts and welding also sound really cool though so choose what you feel. but I strongly urge that you go with digital design as one of them

learning the fundamentals of typography so you can make any text look good, learning the basics of how to use space and colors in an appealing way, and then putting your skills to use - most notably through logo design.
I don't take it but I've been studying it for some time at home, and at lunch I sometimes go and hang out in the media lab and watch the teacher teach stuff.

yeah it does seem kinda weird that they would offer a class entirely on welding
MIG welding and the like are pretty easy - you can easily pick up some skills on youtube.
