Author Topic: A plane Kreon and I have been making. DC-4/ C-54 Styled Plane  (Read 5694 times)

Hey everyone! Here's a little sneak peak of something Kreon and I have been making for the past few days. Enjoy!

Sorry there is more than one color and supports visibile. Its markers for things we have to do.
Sneak peak of what me and Sailor have been doing:

Interior.

Everything works on this thing, including:
Landing gear,
Cargo doors,
Regular doors (All can lock in roosterpit)
Smoking and Seatbelts lights
Vents for the seats
Lights for each seat
Working Engines
Etc, Etc, Etc. A lot of other stuff included in this plane.

I may be editing/ re-doing the wings. And Im planning on creating Horizontal stabilizers soon. Sooo... Yeah. Enjoy. Not really anything worthy of rating because it is a WIP build. Also, these pictures are a few days old.

nice... reminds me of a douglas for some reason.

When you get to eventing a yoke, make it so it starts a bunch of alarms and says your going into a dive :P

Looks great, I love the curvature of it, but it doesn't seem like a jet from the pictures... Is it a prop plane?

Exterior is kinda... meh.
But I love the interior.
I think the exterior would look better if it was covered in ramps.

Thanks everyone! Pepsi told me that too. Its a DC-4 but not quite a DC-4, so the wings and tail have the same shape as that plane now. Also we avoided ramps on the out side xD. I was trying a new building style/technique :)

This is nicely done and cool-looking.

Can we have a picture that shows us more of the rear?
What you have now is good :D

You sick, dirty man!

so it IS based off a douglas, It just has a larger hull with seats.

Nose is eh

Really good overall

The DC-4 is a 4 engine plane, used first in the 50s I believe. It was the same plane in the Berlin Airlift, if Im not mistaken. It was also the plane in The Twilight Zone's "Nightmare at 2000 feet."

I just kind of... built it, and Pepsimann said it looked like a DC-4. I wanted to have a classic golden age of aviation look to it any way, so I was like: "Oh rite, I guess thats true." SINCE THEN, the wings, vertical and horizontal stabilizers are shaped like the DC-4's. However, the landing gear is in the belly instead of behind the engines. Also, the wings are a bit higher and forward more. I plan on editing/ re-doing most of the wings because the plane is UGLY from the top xD
