Okay, so I know that a lot of new people are coming to the forums, that's cool. More money for Badspot, more interesting people, more contribution. But the thing I notice is that most of these new people don't understand one thing, and I've seen this going around quite a lot lately.
Mass posting isn't cool.
You're wondering what that means. It's when someone who recently joined the forums doesn't quite understand that posting a thread every 15 minutes isn't a good idea. This doesn't just apply to newcomers either. We can have players who have been on the forums for a long time suddenly go on a mass thread pollution. This is my response to said players, both new and old.
Let's have someone who isn't a hostile starfish but respected player make this point.
Simply;
The forums gets annoyed when you post a lot of threads regarding small things. If you can dump all your thoughts into one large megathread, or just contribute your ideas or thoughts (or as said anger) to a thread that already deals with such things, do so.
You're creating a lot of topics lately, which doesn't look good when most of them are short said OP's. Just lay off, you know, contribute to threads instead of starting your own. I know you probably have a lot of interesting things to say, but please try to restrain from posting a thread about it every time. It would best be said inside another thread that has popularity and communications then start a whole new thread.
Hope this helps you out better than buttmunch Glass is with his constant douchery.
By the way Glass I still have that snip of you saying you would stop being a douche on the forums.
Ignore the small Glass comment at the end, unfortunately you people like to get in on that. I'd advice if you see a player who has been "stuff posting" or just intentionally posting threads left and right, to not jump on their ass and flame them, they will respond with negativity and it won't solve the problem. Instead, pretend you're really smart and you've been playing for a long time and tell them that stuff doesn't fly here, they'll eventually understand. That or direct them to this thread for a further understanding.
Thank you and have a great day.
Advice given from actual Blockland Forum people. Please take a look at these as well because these unsaid rules and / or advice is also very helpful.
Unsaid rules of forums:
no saying "first post"
admittance to trolling is ban
bumping is dissaproved of
*and others i dont know/remember
Another thing to add that I tend to see every now and then.
Arguing on the internet is like a shootout near the end of the world. There's almost no point to it.
So if someone calls you a name, pisses you off, makes fun of you or anything that just generally aggrivates you...
Ignore them and move on.
Please add to OP the whole spamming of cookies, cookie monster, etc--Thats kind of annoying. A Pet peeve of mine is when the same people give like 1 word replies to EVERY THING. If it gets excessive, really, please elaborate xD.
Rule I would consider adding, if your not 100% sure what the topic is about, don't post. If you don't care, well, as the saying goes, don't post.
My teacher says to THINK before you speak, and she put up this sign on the wall that says:
T is it true?
H is it honoring?
I is it inspiring?
N is it necessary?
K is it kind?
In regards to posting instructions:
Posting options:

To use these options, simply highlight the text of your posts and hit the button that you want. Buttons that I did not label are ones you will probably never use.
So Bold text would look like [b]Bold text[/b]
(I used the "Bold" button and the "Code" button)
To post images, you need an image hosting site. Any will do, but I use Tinypic. Once you get the URL, copy/paste it into a post and put the Image tags around it: [IMG][/IMG]
and the image should be displayed. This can be done by highlighting the copied URL and hitting the "Image Tag" button. Use the Preview button at the bottom of your post window next to the Post button to see if it worked.
If you do get banned for a week, take that time to think about your actions. Once that period of time is over, apologies to the forums BUT DON'T MAKE A THREAD ABOUT HOW SORRY YOU ARE! Some users will accept if you are sorry, the others will flame you for coming back and making a topic.
That's pretty useful.
If I find good advice I'll continue the quote list.
